Planet Blue

Sustainability for a better future

Sustainability is of fundamental importance to us. We make decisions that take into account the long-term effects on the Haver & Boecker family, our customers and future generations. Our goal is to improve living conditions for humanity with all our technologies. That is our mission!

I always thought my neighborhood was my home and everything I needed. Today, planet Earth is my home.
Michael James Massimino

Our planet - simply unique!

Earth is a bright blue dot in black space. We have only known this since the beginning of space travel. It is the water that gives the Earth its blue color and the ideal temperature difference that makes this diversity of life forms possible: a paradise. Astronaut Michael James Massimino spent 23 days, 19 hours and 47 minutes in space. During the spacewalk, he recognized the uniqueness and beauty of the blue planet, but also its vulnerability.

Responsible use of resources

It is up to us to protect this habitat and use our planet's resources in such a way that we do not live at the expense of future generations. Sustainability means preserving the natural regenerative capacities of the systems involved in order to ensure that our needs are met in the long term. The "reduce, reuse, recycle" triad offers a practical approach to such a way of life.

Our understanding of "Planet Blue"

Our sustainability campaign "Planet Blue" focuses on aligning our mindset and actions towards a world in balance. Our goal is to improve living conditions for humanity through storage, packaging, mixing and filling technologies as well as palletizing and loading technology.

We asked the author and cultural scientist Dr. Martina Ward to formulate our message succinctly:

For the children on this blue planet

Our planet is unique - as unique as the life that inhabits it. We are facing one of the greatest challenges in our history: unprecedented population growth.

Our willingness to break new ground and use resources responsibly will determine how peaceful and fulfilling our coexistence will be.

It is important to look back on what has allowed us to grow and develop to this day: Courage to change, inspiration and cohesion. We know what future generations need, what drives us and what makes life worth living. We just need to take the next step, especially if we all benefit from it - especially for the children on this blue planet.
